Year 6 Blog - 22.11.2024

Snow! Year 6 definitely made the most of the snow and had a lovely time. From a teaching point of view, the snow couldn't have been better timed as we start our work towards writing our own stories. These will be based on The Graveyard Book and a short story called In the Shadows. The snow helps to build mystery in the short story so I am looking forward to pulling vocabulary together based on our experiences.

In Geography, we have looked at the historical Silk roads and how many of the countries on this route are still well-known for the same goods as they were back then.

In maths, we are starting a unit on fractions. We have looked at multiplying and dividing fractions this week and are becoming increasingly more confident.
