What a sensational start to the year for our incredible Year 6s! From the moment they stepped back into school, their effort, enthusiasm, and excellence have shone through in everything they’ve done.
One of the highlights so far has been receiving their brand-new iPad pens and beautiful school planners. The children have wasted no time putting these to great use, showing fantastic maturity as they begin to take more ownership of their learning and independence in preparation for their final stages of primary school life.

Mr. Simpson has been particularly impressed by how quickly the class has embraced GoodNotes, the app he introduced to support their learning. It’s been wonderful to see them using it creatively and independently to enhance their work — a real sign of how adaptable and determined they are.

In English, the children have loved exploring the fascinating context of our new book, Boy by Roald Dahl. Inspired by Dahl’s incredible storytelling, they’ve written some fantastic chapters for their very own autobiographies — and the results have been nothing short of brilliant!
We are also incredibly proud of their commitment beyond the classroom. With nearly all of Year 6 attending SATs and Home Learning Club, it’s clear that they’re focused, motivated, and ready to give their very best.
It’s been an amazing start to what promises to be an exciting and rewarding year. Well done, Year 6 — keep up the incredible work! 🌟
