What a half term! Year 6 have continued to amaze me with their brilliance and positive attitude. They have done well in their last mock SATs and have made me proud. Just a reminder that Easter school is available for three days and all children are welcome.
Year 6 have completed their guitar lessons this week and the progress they have made is amazing. They have shown creativity and resilience in learning their instruments.
Geography has been great this half term. We have been learning about the continent of South America and have focused on Brazil, Argentina and Peru. I’m sure you’ll agree that the quality of work is outstanding. What was amazing was listening to the children comparing the countries.
In RE, we have discussed whether Christianity is still as important now as it was 2000 years ago. The depth of discussion was amazing. They discussed how social media has influenced who we look up to, how we live in a more diverse and inclusive society now and how many different groups of people make a positive impact on the community. Year 6 believes that there is always a place for different religions and that there is still a place for Christianity as it has evolved with the world around us.
We hope you all have an amazing Easter.
