What another wonderful two weeks!

In English we have been writing a balanced argument, looking at viewpoints for and against screen use by children. We have collected some opinions from teachers around the school and even some viewpoints from Mr Simpson! We have been really enjoying this topic and can’t wait to write our independent piece soon.

In maths we have been continuing to explore fractions, looking at equivalent fractions as well as ordering and comparing. We have been enjoying using the Cuisennaire rods to help us visualise different fractions to help us better understand our learning.

In science we have been looking at different materials and their properties. We have participated in lots of investigations already, including adding different materials to see if they were electrical conductors or insulators. We also explored absorption, hardness, transparency and magnetism by investigating different stations that were set up around the classroom.
