Year 5 Blog - 24.10.2025

Year 5 has had an incredible last two weeks! One of the highlights has to be participating in Bikeability where the children have learned lots of new skills including how to ride safely on the roads.

We have finished our last independent write of the half term and I am so amazed by the quality of work that has been produced by everyone! We have thoroughly enjoyed this unit as a whole class and have loved linking it in with our science topic of Earth and space.

In maths we have been learning all about timetables and line graphs. We have looked at a variety of timetables including one for the olympic events, train timetables and even talked about where we might see them in our everyday lives.

We have really enjoyed our science topic of Earth and space this half term. One of our favourite lessons was creating the different phases of the moon using Oreos!

I cannot believe that we have already completed a half term of year 5! Time is going by so quickly but I am immensely proud of everyone! Have a wonderful and well-deserved break!
