Its been another fabulous week!
We have had lots of fun learning more about each of our new topics and have been thoroughly enjoying our swimming lessons on Mondays, learning lots of new swimming strokes and skills.
In English we have come to the end of our first unit and will be planning and writing up our own stories next week! We have been using lots of new writing techniques including fronted adverbials and alliteration and I can’t wait to read the finished stories!
In Maths we have been focusing on place value, looking at rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. We have been answering some worded problems as well as developing our reasoning skills.
We have had lots of fun this week in Science, working scientifically to test which biscuit is the best for dunking in tea! We tested five different biscuits and found that hobnobs were some of the best if you love dunking your biscuits!
In History, we have begun to look at how the Roman Empire started and to learn some of the names of the emperors that were in charge at the time. We have discussed how the emperor had a senate who helped to make lots of important decisions and even made links to how this is similar to our school senates who help to make important decisions in school.
