In cricket, we learnt how to hold a cricket bat and how to hit a tennis ball.

For our warm up we played a game called Aliens wearing hats. The aim of the game was to get the most cones (or hats). To successfully hold a bat you need the pyramid/ pointy side to be facing you. A bowl is an action where you throw a ball. If you hit the ball, you can run.
We learnt how to tie a knot and we made pet leashes using the knot we learnt. We also made a bracelet or necklace. You need a piece of yarn, a branch and a tool to push a hole through it. We learnt about teamwork and helped each other with our dens.

Our Year 4 playwrights are bringing history to life! This week, the children explored the grim reality of the Great Plague through the eyes of characters Lizzie and John.
By mastering stage directions, students aren't just writing; they're directing. From panicked [whispering] to cautious [backing away], these cues have added incredible depth and movement to their scripts. Great work, everyone!
