Year 2 has been working really hard on planning and writing their diary entries. On Monday, we travelled back to 1666 and experienced the sights and sounds of the Great Fire of London. We even practised escaping buildings! We’ve just finished writing our diaries from the perspective of Thomas Farriner, and the work produced has been amazing—I’m so proud of everyone!
In Maths, we’ve completed our first unit on Place Value and have just started our second unit, focusing on adding and subtracting two-digit numbers. We’ve been using lots of maths resources to help us.
In Art, we’ve begun exploring the work of artist Keith Haring. The children have drawn their own representations of his work and discovered some key facts about him!
In Science, we’ve been investigating our senses. This week, we explored whether we need our sense of smell to taste food—such a fun experiment!
