What a fantastic week we've had. We've been busy learning and exploring all sorts of new things, and everyone has worked so hard and had lots of fun.
We've been on a maths mission this week, learning all about adding two 2-digit numbers together. This is a big step! We started by using part-whole models to break the numbers down and then moved on to trying column addition. It's a new skill, but everyone is getting the hang of it, and we are becoming brilliant mathematicians.
In science, we became expert investigators. We continued our work on how to record data and answer a very important question: 'Can you taste food without your sense of smell?' To find out, we tasted different fruits and vegetables while holding our noses! It was a super fun and exciting lesson, and we all had a big surprise when we realised just how much our sense of smell helps us taste things.

Our inner artists have been busy this week as we continued to study the amazing artist Alice Fox. She makes beautiful art using things she finds in nature, and we did the same! We worked together to create some lovely pieces of artwork using sticks, leaves, and other natural treasures. We were very proud of what we made.
We're still thriving in history, learning all about the Great Fire of London. We've been busy exploring what life was like in 1666, and we're so excited for next week! We'll be stepping back in time with the Freshwater Theatre Company for our Great Fire of London workshop. We can't wait to see what it was really like during that time.
We're all looking forward to another great week of learning!
