What a fantastic week it's been in Year 2! We are well and truly treasuring our last few weeks together!
We’ve all been working incredibly hard on our end-of-term assessments and have shown great focus and determination. In Writing, we completed another fantastic independent piece — a question and answer text all about the fascinating Neil Armstrong. The children came up with their own questions and answered them with interesting facts, showcasing their growing writing skills and knowledge about this famous astronaut!
In Science, we teamed up with Year 1 to explore how wind can be used sustainably as a source of energy. Afterwards, we created our own wind vanes to help us observe the direction of the wind!
This week in DT, we've started our felt pouches, we carefully used our pencils and rulers to measure our templates. We then cut the felt as neatly as we could. They are now ready to sew in the upcoming weeks. We can’t wait to master the running stitch!
We've had such a great week, full of learning and discovery. We're all looking forward to continuing our adventures and making the most of every moment in Year 2!
