What another fantastic week we've had in Year 2! The learning journey continues, and we've been busy little bees in all our subjects.
In Maths, we've officially wrapped up our topic all about mass, and it's been a real 'weigh' of fun! Our practical lessons with the scales were a huge hit, and it was brilliant to see everyone so engaged in measuring and comparing different objects. You've all become experts at understanding how heavy or light things are!
For Writing, we focused on the art of persuasion during our independent write. It was brilliant to see how you used all the techniques we've learned to build strong arguments. And guess what? You were so convincing that all your felt-tip pens have been returned! We're incredibly proud of the confident and persuasive writers you're becoming.
This week in Science, we became real scientists in our labs! We loved putting different materials to the test to see if they were transparent (could we see through them?) and waterproof (did water pass straight through?). It was fascinating to observe and record our findings – we're getting really good at making predictions and conducting fair tests!
Finally, in History, we took to the skies as we delved into the fascinating world of the first mode of flight. We were all absolutely captivated by the story of the Wright brothers and their incredible invention. It was amazing to hear you recall so many key facts about their pioneering journey.
Well done, Year 2, on another week of hard work and amazing learning! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
