What a fantastic week starting the countdown to Christmas!

We have been so excited to see what Twinkle our class elf has been up to each day! He has even decorated our classroom with lots of tinsel and a Christmas tree!

In English, we have started our new writing topic of writing a postcard. We are taking inspiration from one of Sunny the meerkats postcards in the book ‘Meerkat Christmas’. A special delivery arrived for Year 2 on Monday, a postcard from Santa! We discussed the structure and features of the postcard, so we know what to include on our own!

We have been up for a super challenge this week in Maths, we are learning all about multiplication and division. We are using our addition skills and blocks to help us.

In Science, we have continued our learning of the earth and space. This week, we looked at stars and what they are made of. We even learnt that there are over 100 billion stars in the universe!

Our Christmas nativity practice is in full swing. We cannot wait for you all to see it!

This week, we have also started our handmade Christmas cards, we have used paint, glitter and stickers. They look amazing so far!
