Welcome back everyone! Can you believe we have made it to the final half term of the school year? Time has absolutely flown by, and looking back at where we started in September, I could not be prouder.

Every single child has made incredible progress—not just academically, but socially and personally too. They have grown into such kind, resilient, and hard-working independent learners. Thank you, as always, for your continued support at home!

In English, we have been gearing up to write some atmospheric setting descriptions based on a spooky haunted house! The children have thrown themselves into this, learning how to use pathetic fallacy and expanded noun phrases to bring their descriptions to life. They are working so hard to make this their absolute best piece of writing yet. Watch out, authors in the making!

We have turned into brilliant scientists and mathematicians this week by exploring weight and mass. The children have been learning all about grams and kilograms..

We have practiced:

• Reading different types of weighing scales accurately.

• Comparing and ordering masses from lightest to heaviest.

• Estimating the weight of classroom objects.

They have shown fantastic accuracy and confidence when reading those tricky scales!

We have embarked on a brand-new geography topic all about continents and oceans. We had so much fun learning the names of the 7 continents and figuring out exactly where we live in the big wide world. To help us remember, we even made our own fantastic 'world wheels' to track the continents. Ask your child if they can sing you our new continents song!
