What a great week it's been in Year 2! I cannot believe we only have two more weeks together!

This week, we finished our super topic all about poetry. We read lots of different poems and even learned how to write our very own! Our task was to write a poem called 'If I was in charge for a day', and wow, they turned out really good! We had some fantastic ideas about what we'd do if we were in charge. 📝

In Maths, we've been continuing our journey with multiplicative strategies.We've been using our counters a lot to make lots of different arrays. This has really helped us understand how multiplication works.

Our DT lessons have been very exciting, as we finally made our pouches! This was a big challenge, but we were all so sensible with the needles and learned how to do a running stitch. It took a lot of resilience but we got there in the end! We're so proud of our amazing pouches. 🧵

And finally, in Science, we've been learning all about food chains. We found out about all the different parts of a food chain, from the predator (the animal that hunts) to the producer (like plants that make their own food). We even spent some time drawing and making our own food chains for different animals. It was fascinating to see how all living things are connected!
