Year 1 Blog Post- 23.01.2026

It has been a busy week in year one this week. We have continued to look closer at our class text The Koala who could. Thinking about things we have been afraid to try but when we did how happy we were. Realising it is always good to give things a go. In maths we have continued our place value, focussing on key language such as equal and whole numbers. In History we have researched the lady with the lamp: Florence Nightingale. And why she was so important taking care of wounded soldiers. We had fun in PE trying new yoga poses, learning about a yoga flow and how it can help calm our minds and bodies. Well done year 1 for all your super hard work this week!
