Year 1 Blog Post - 13/03/2026

We have had a fabulous fortnight in Year 1.  Last week, we took part in World Book Day and we enjoyed exploring story characters and trying out new books in our book tasting cafe.  A fun time was had by all!

We began our Science Week activities by enjoying a magic show with Dr Matt who showed us the science behind fabulous forces.  We had such a good time and were in awe at what we saw!  Our science question this week was, ‘What is Spring like?’ and we explored the signs of Spring and found out more about this recently begun season.  We also enjoyed visiting the Science Fair and exploring the fabulous projects that were presented there.  We were fabulous presenters and showed great enthusiasm as we explained what we had found out, from how cat’s ears move to how to blow up a balloon using science.  Well done, Year 1!
