This week in Year 1, we’ve had an exciting time learning across our different subjects. In Maths, we explored sharing objects and quantities into quarters and began our unit on measurement, where we measured our classroom using our hands to understand length and height. In English, we wrote about greedy green gremlins and what keeps us awake at night when it is too noisy, with lots of creative ideas shared by the children. In Phonics, we have been learning new sounds or revisiting those we already know. In Geography, we discovered how hot and cold climates don't support as many plants due to their weather conditions, but many plants adapt in unique ways to survive. It’s been a fantastic week of learning!
