In Year 1, we have had a fabulous start to the Summer Term!  This week we have begun our new science topic of ‘Materials’ and we explored the variety of materials around our classroom, finding out what each one was called.  In geography, we have been learning about the Equator and about different types of extreme weather.  We had a great time in our art lesson this week as we explored the work of Pablo Picasso and made our own portraits in his cubist style.  We have also had lots of fun in maths exploring measures as we compared our own lengths and heights and used a metre stick to measure items around our classroom.  Super learning, Year 1 - well done!
