Welcome back, everyone!

The children have returned from the break refreshed and eager to learn. They’ve settled back into routines quickly and are doing fantastically well. In Phonics, we've introduced the sounds "ow," "ai," and "oa." The children are practising blending these sounds into words, and they’re making great progress!

In Math, we've moved on to exploring numbers up to 20, working on counting, recognising, and understanding these numbers.

For Whole Class Reading, we had a very exciting moment! We received a special parcel containing our new book, The Jolly Postman. The children were thrilled! We’ve since mapped the story’s journey and added actions to go along with it, which has brought the story to life in such a fun way.

In Geography, we kicked off the term by creating a bird’s-eye view map of our classroom. This activity helped the children think about space and position, and they loved seeing their classroom from a new perspective!

It’s been a wonderful first week back, and we’re excited for the rest of the term.
