We've had an incredible couple of weeks in Reception! Our focus has been all about exploring emotions, and the children have been reflecting on how they feel during different activities, which has sparked some wonderful conversations.

We also kicked off our new class book, On Sudden Hill, which has inspired us to dive into the world of imagination and creativity. The children have really enjoyed using their imaginations in new and exciting ways.

In maths, we've been having so much fun with patterns! The children have been busy creating their own repeating patterns using toys, letters, and natural materials—they’ve been brilliant at spotting and making patterns all around us.

A real highlight this week was a special visit from the amazing owls of Hagley Falconry Centre. The children were captivated by the owls’ graceful flight and loved learning more about these incredible birds.

Thank you so much for your continued donations of boxes! They are a huge hit in our craft corner, and the children are having so much fun using them for imaginative play. We’re still collecting, so please do keep them coming!
