Reception have had a wonderful, busy week!
We have been enjoying looking at baby pictures of ourselves from the past. We loved seeing the photographs and working out as a class whose baby picture was whose. Some were very easy to tell!
We also had lots of fun in our Forest Area this week on a mini-beast hunt! We found lots of worms, spiders and other bugs. We have had some ‘school made’ mud kitchen cake, made by the very best bakers in our class!
Here is a sneak peak of our time in the forest this week…

In maths, we have been exploring patterns and thinking carefully about what comes next. We have also been learning about the number 3, finding different ways to represent it, and practising making it.

Reception have done really well in their phonics, learning another five new sounds! We have now looked at 10 sounds so far - well done, Reception!
It has been a fantastic week of learning, exploring and fun!
Each week, one child in the class takes on the important role of Classroom Inspector. They check that we are keeping our classroom tidy and get to wear the very special Hi-Vis jacket whilst they check! Once again, this week was a success - our Classroom Inspector says we have clean classroom! This means will have lots of fun with the bubbles on ‘Bubble Friday’ again!
