We have had a lovely fortnight in Reception Class continuing to learn about changing and growing.  We have found out about the life cycles of butterflies and ladybirds and have enjoyed researching these fascinating insects, amongst others.  We have been reading and writing sentences about minibeasts and have enjoyed starting our new whole class reading text, ‘What the Ladybird Heard,’ by Julia Donaldson.  In maths we have explored doubles and addition.  We have also continued to explore pairs of numbers that make the numbers to 10.  We enjoyed taking part in VE Day celebrations last week and we learned more about why and how VE Day is celebrated.  Super learning, Reception Class!
