Reception Blog - 11/10/2024

We have had a great time in Reception Class exploring Harvest and the Autumn Season.

We have been reading our new class text - ‘The Little Red Hen’ and have found out how bread is made.

We explored other farm produce and began running our own fresh produce stall in the outdoor area.

We have also been exploring the colours, patterns and textures of the beautiful Autumn leaves which are now falling on the ground. 

This week, we have also studied Black History Month.  We produced some artwork in the style of Alma Thomas and we also found out more about Ranger Hamza Yassin, who is also our scientist of the month.  We are really enjoying learning to write words using phonemes that we can hear and did some great writing about Black History Month.
