What a wonderful start to the new term!  This week we have been embracing our new topic of ‘Growing and Changing’ by learning about living things and life cycles.  We have had fun exploring the creatures that live in our garden and learning about the life cycle of fish and frogs.  We even made up a dance about the phases of the life cycle of frogs! In our Whole Class Reading sessions, we have been studying the new book, ‘Oi Frog!’ and we have enjoyed exploring rhyming words and making up some of our own rhyming phrases.  In maths, we explored the composition of numbers to 10 and we are learning to quickly recall doubles of numbers to 10.  In our role play this term, we are learning about what babies need and how to care for them.  We have enjoyed the sunshine whilst making sure that we are sun-safe and we can’t wait for more adventures to come this term!  Well done, Reception!
