20th December 2024
As December came around, our Nursery class embraced the festive season with open arms, filling the halls with joy, laughter, and creativity. The children took part in a variety of exciting activities that not only brought out their holiday spirit but also fostered teamwork, kindness, and a sense of community. From a stunning nativity performance to festive fun and giving, it was a December to remember.
The highlight of the month for our Nursery class was undoubtedly the Nativity performance. After weeks of practicing, the children took to the stage and delivered an outstanding show that left everyone in awe. The little ones embraced their roles with so much enthusiasm, wearing their costumes with pride. The music, the joy, and the wonderful storytelling were the perfect way to kick off the holiday season, and it was heartwarming to see the children shine in their performance.
In the spirit of giving and fun, our Nursery class celebrated National Elf Service Day in full force! The children became little elves for the day, creating gingerbread men, sorting a mountain of Christmas cards, and dusting the corridors to keep everything sparkling. They even took part in litter picking to ensure the school grounds looked as festive as ever. As part of their holiday giving, the children worked together to make beautiful gifts for our neighbours, spreading joy beyond the school walls.
On Christmas Jumper Day, our Nursery class looked absolutely adorable, with bright, sparkly, and festive jumpers everywhere. The excitement reached new heights when Father Christmas himself appeared in the school’s igloo! It was a magical moment as the children gathered around, sipping warm hot chocolate and sharing their Christmas wishes. The warmth of the campfire added to the festive cheer as everyone sang carols and enjoyed each other’s company.
There’s nothing quite like a cosy, festive afternoon to bring out the holiday magic. On Snowman Pyjama Day, our Nursery class came to school in their comfy pyjamas, ready for a day full of treats and fun. The children enjoyed a selection of festive snacks and treats as they gathered for a cosy film afternoon. Together, they watched a heartwarming showing of The Snowman, snuggled up in their blankets with cushions, and basked in the warmth of the season’s spirit.
To wrap up the festive season, our Nursery class celebrated Party Day with a big celebration. There was dancing, games, and plenty of laughter as the children let loose and enjoyed the holiday cheer. They also had a special Bring a Toy Day, where everyone had the chance to share their favourite toys with their friends. It was wonderful to see the children playing together, exchanging toys, and making memories.
