🦁 Nursery Trip to Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park – A Wild Day Out! 🦓
What an unforgettable adventure we had on our recent nursery school trip to the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park! Bursting with excitement and energy, the children set off on a big day out with their friends and parents, all aboard a cheerful coach filled with laughter and chatter.
Once we arrived at the park, it was straight into the wild! The first big excitement? The monkeys! Cheeky, playful, and full of life, they had everyone giggling as they swung around, showing off their climbing skills. But the biggest surprise came when we met Nyla the lynx — and discovered she shares a name with Ella’s cat! That brought lots of smiles!
Then came a creature that sparked both awe and a little nervous giggling — the Komodo dragon! With his long tongue and serious stare, it looked like he might just have fancied us for lunch (don’t worry — we were safe behind glass!).
We also met the busy otters, darting and diving around — though some little noses wrinkled at the smell of their fishy treats. The red pandas, on the other hand, stole hearts as they basked in the warm sun, looking as fluffy and sleepy as could be.
After all that exploring, we laid out our picnic blankets and enjoyed a lovely lunch together — sandwiches, fruit, and a chance to chat and refuel. Then it was off to the play area, where little legs ran wild and laughter echoed all around.
The day wasn’t over yet! A stop for some delicious ice cream gave us a sweet energy boost before heading into the soft play centre, where the children could climb, crawl, and slide to their hearts' content.
Before we knew it, it was time to visit the gift shop, where each child chose a special memento to remember their day — from cuddly animals to wild-themed keyrings and badges.
It was a truly magical day full of discovery, friendship, and fun. A big thank you to all the staff and parents who made it possible. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
