Nursery's "Growing and Changing" Adventures! 🐛🦋🌱

What an incredible journey of discovery our Nursery class has had as we completed our "Growing and Changing" topic! It's been a truly hands-on and exciting time, watching nature's wonders unfold right before our eyes.

One of our favourite activities was becoming little gardeners! We carefully planted our very own seedlings and have now proudly transferred them to our eco-planter. It's been wonderful to see how something so tiny can grow with a little bit of care and sunshine. We're keeping a close eye on them and can't wait to see what delicious things might sprout for our guinea pigs to feast on!

But perhaps the most captivating experience was witnessing the complete life cycle of a butterfly! We started with tiny caterpillars, and patiently watched them grow bigger and bigger. It was fascinating to see them munching away, getting ready for their next big transformation. Then came the most exciting part – they created their cocoons! We observed them quietly, understanding that something amazing was happening inside. We cannot wait to see the butterflies pop out of their cocoons and release them into school - maybe you will see some butterflies around our school grounds!

This topic has been a fantastic way for our Nursery children to learn about the natural world, understand different stages of life, and develop a sense of wonder and respect for living things. They've shown such enthusiasm and asked brilliant questions, demonstrating their growing curiosity.

We're so proud of how much they've learned and grown throughout this topic, just like our seedlings and butterflies! Keep an eye on our eco-planter for updates, and perhaps you'll spot some butterflies around the school grounds!
