A Magical Week of Fun and Festivities! 🎄✨

What a fantastic week we’ve had in Year 4! We started the week by dressing up as elves, followed by singing Christmas carols at the church, which was filled with festive decorations and Christmas magic. On Wednesday, we visited Santa at the grotto and took photos with him, then enjoyed delicious hot chocolate around a cozy fire. Thursday was Pyjama Day, where we relaxed in our comfiest pyjamas, watched The Snowman, and enjoyed hot chocolate and biscuits. To finish the week, we had Toy Day, sharing our favorite toys with friends and having fun together. It’s been a week full of Christmas cheer and unforgettable memories!

Our Final Unit of the Year: A Celebration of Poetry

We’ve just completed our final English unit of the year, and what a fun journey it’s been! Our focus on poetry allowed everyone to explore new vocabulary and craft some brilliant rhymes. It’s been a joy to read each student’s unique poem and see their creativity shine. Congratulations to all for your hard work—what an amazing way to end the year!

Mastering Data: A Wrap-Up of Our Graphs Unit

We’ve just wrapped up our Maths unit on data, exploring bar charts, time graphs, and pictograms. It’s been great seeing everyone master how to read, interpret, and create different types of graphs. The class did a fantastic job with the data activities, and it’s been exciting to watch their confidence grow in this area!

Exploring Mountains and Volcanoes: A Geography Adventure

We’ve just finished our Geography unit on mountains and volcanoes, where we learned about how they’re formed, the different types, and the powerful forces behind them. We also explored the incredible achievements of Edmund Hillary and the challenges of climbing Mount Everest. It’s been an exciting journey into the natural world, and the class has really enjoyed discovering the science and history behind these fascinating landforms!

Wrapping Up the Year

Everyone has settled into Year 4 really well, and it’s been a joy to see how much each student has grown already. As we head into the holiday season, I wish you all a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see you all in 2025 for more exciting learning adventures!
