Reception Class have had a fantastic start to the year and it has been such a fun and learning-rich term!  This week was the perfect round off for us as we enjoyed many festive treats and continued to develop our learning skills.  Elf Service Day on Monday was fantastic!  We all enjoyed being elves and helping others with our charitable donations.

The fun continued with our Christmas Jumper Day when we enjoyed hot chocolate and songs around the campfire and there was even a visit from Santa!

Back in class we have been doing some fantastic learning around shapes and measure in maths.  We have continued with our phonics learning and have done some fantastic writing around our Whole Class Reading text - ‘How to catch a falling star’.  We delved deeper into the Nativity story and in our expressive arts and design, we learned about Vincent Van Gogh and worked in stages to develop our own version of his famous piece of art - ‘Starry Night,’ which we have made into calendars for 2025.

We are now looking forward to the fun that lies ahead in 2025!  Well done Reception Class!  Have a wonderful Christmas break.
