Year 6 have been absolute superstars as always! Their resilience is shining through as they work incredibly hard on their SATs preparation, tackling every challenge with a brilliant "can-do" attitude. You’re nearly there, Year 6; keep up the amazing work!
In English, the children have become expert historians, using their knowledge of World War II to write high-quality non-chronological reports. It has been wonderful to see them working together, using peer feedback to polish their writing to a professional standard.
This teamwork has also been clear in Maths, where we have been learning about the volume of 3D shapes and calculating perimeters. The class continues to impress us with their sharp arithmetic and their ability to solve complex reasoning problems with ease.
Alongside our journey through The Hobbit, we have been exploring a wide range of texts to build confidence for our upcoming tests. We have also been burning off some energy in PE with our new ‘Outdoor Adventurous Activities’ topic. The children have been having a go at team-building games that require real trust and great communication, and it has been lovely to see how much they have been supporting one another.
We wish you all a fantastic Easter break filled with plenty of relaxation and chocolate! We can’t wait to see you all soon for our Year 6 Easter School.
