Can you believe the Spring term is over already? Time flies when you’re having this much fun! I am incredibly proud of every single student in Year 5—your hard work and energy have made this term one to remember.
In English, we’ve spent the last two weeks diving into the world of poetry. Using a mysterious image of a warrior and a dragon as our inspiration, we’ve been busy crafting our own verses. The descriptive language and rhythm everyone produced were simply wonderful!
We’ve been busy "deepening" our math skills lately! From mastering fractions and decimals to tackling those tricky percentages, the class has been on fire. We even took it a step further by solving complex worded problems and calculating percentages of different amounts like pros.
We have officially wrapped up our topic on the properties and changes of materials. It was a "solid" finish, and now we’re buzzing with excitement to start our new adventure: Living Things and Their Habitats. Get ready to get back to nature!
We’ve just finished our whole class reader, The Fastest Boy in the World. While there were some tear-jerker moments, we all loved the happy ending! Now, we’ve hopped into Who Let the Gods Out. We’re already exploring Zodiac signs, star constellations, and legendary Greek myths.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing, and chocolate-filled Easter break. You’ve earned it!
