What a brilliant end to the first half term! It’s been a bust week celebrating parliament week, making some crafts for Diwali, our Halloween Disco as well as our pumpkin carving competition!
In English, we have been editing our narrative stories based on the Disney short film Feast and the children have all done some fabulous work!
In Maths, we have started our new topic, multiplication and division. We have been using counters and place value charts to multiply and divide by 10 and 100 and have all made great progress with this.
In Science, we have been taking a closer look at vertebrates and invertebrates and seeing some of the different ways that we can classify them. We have also learned about the five main animal groups that can all be classified as vertebrates and have looked at some of their main characteristics.
In History, we have been continuing to learn about the Roman invasion of Britain. This week, we created some comic strips to show the six main events that happened when Queen Boudicca decided to fight back against the Romans.
