Celebrating World Poetry Day at Tenterfields Primary Academy!

At Tenterfields, we love to celebrate creativity, and what better way to do that than by marking World Poetry Day on the 3rd October with a special challenge for our students?

To kick things off, we’ve written an acrostic poem that spells out “Tenterfields” and captures everything we love about our school. It’s a little glimpse of the magic that happens here every day, and we hope it inspires you!

Now, it’s your turn to shine! 🌟 We’re hosting a World Poetry Day Competition for all our students. Here’s how it works:

📝 The Challenge: Write your own acrostic poem about our wonderful school!

🎉 Categories:

• Key Stage 1 (KS1)
• Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 & 4)
• Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6)

🏆 What could you win? A £10 book token to spend on your favourite reads! 📚✨

Deadline: Submit your poem to your teacher by next Wednesday (9th), and winners will be announced at the end of next week! 🎤

Tenterfields

Together we grow, with kindness and care,
Eager to learn, and always to share.
Nurturing minds, with dreams that we chase,
Time spent learning in our special place.
Every voice matters, every heart’s true,
Ready to help in all that we do.
Friendship and laughter fill every day,
Inspiring each other along the way.
Every challenge met with courage so bold,
Learning is precious, more valuable than gold.
Determined to shine, both near and afar,
Success is our journey, and we all are a star! 🌟
